George Washington is one of the most prominent figures in the history of the United States of America, the country's first president and one of the foundersUSA . His biography is filled with events and achievements that made him a legendary figure.
 
George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 into an aristocratic family in the Virginia Colony. He was the third son of George and Mary Washington. As a child, he received a basic education and began working on the family farm.
 
In 1752, Washington began his military career in the French and Indian War, where he distinguished himself as a talented military leader. In 1759 he returned to Virginia and became actively involved in the political life of the colony.
 
In 1775, Washington was appointed major general in the Continental Army, created to fight for American independence from Great Britain. He led the army during the American Revolution and played a key role in defeating the British.
 
After the war ended, Washington was elected the first President of the United States in 1789. His two terms as president were filled with difficult decisions and reforms that helped strengthen the young country.
 
After leaving the presidency, Washington returned to his Mount Vernon farm and continued farming. He died on December 14, 1799, leaving behind him the legacy of a great leader and founding father of the United States.
